Brittany, our unofficially adopted 42-year-old daughter, is the newest member of the Posse. The 2025 Colorado Pass-a-Palooza™ marked her first extended time on the road with me, other than day trips. This ride made Brittany a full-fledged member of the Posse.

Ever since our first ride together, in December 2014, she’s loved riding, as a passenger, on the back of my Harley. Whenever we’re together, she wants me to fire up the bike and hit the road together. But I always knew Brittany would follow her dream and learn to ride on her own. Exactly ten years to the day, from our first ride, that dream came true.

She took a motorcycle safety course, got her license, bought a bike (Honda Rebel 500), and is learning how to ride it.

Brittany is a rising star in the PR machine at a large aerospace company now headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Sarah and I once worked for that company. Brittany works remotely, and lives in Southern California, where she grew up, and where most of her family is. But her heart is in Colorado, which is where most of the pics in the gallery below were shot.

Brittany joined me for the 2025 Colorado Pass-a-Palooza ride.
