Dan and Clarence do some impromptu motorcycle repair in the Green River Ace Hardware parking lot. Long story short, but the work was successful and Clarence has $5 of new parts on his trike!
Day Four of this trip brings us back through Capitol Reef National Park to Hanksville, and on to Green River – but this time, we do not dine at Ray Tavern. Instead, we press on to Moab, and cross into Colorado, where we’ll spend the remainder of not only this trip, but all of my summer travels.
We arrive in Naturita, take a short break, and continue on to Norwood, home of the Back Country Inn, where we’ll park the bikes on this last night of the trip.
It’s road construction season. The crew is from Colorado Department of Transportation. They were paving right up to the Utah state line, right ahead of us.
It was hot. I hydrated and got out of the sun in Naturita.
Dinner at The Divide restaurant in Norwood, where we’re staying tonight.
It was a long wait for dinner. The restaurant served 95 firefighters just before we arrived. The kitchen was a bit backed up.
Dan loved his spaghetti.
Clarence’s “Fisherman’s Pot” was meh.
Walter Jr loved his pizza. He’ll probably have leftovers tomorrow morning with his coffee.
Glad the wrenching was a success and the food looks fantastic. DO NOT miss sitting in the hot sun waiting for the flagman to wave us by!
Be Safe!
