Wait, What? Montana Has a Dinosaur Trail?

For the first time on this trip, we spend an entire day in just one state: Montana. We leave Big Sky, ride along the beautiful Gallatin River toward Bozeman, and pass by Helena, Montana’s capital city. Riding mostly north, we work our way toward the town of Chateau, population 1,700, known for being part of the Montana Dinosaur Trail. Choteau, where we’ll spend the night, is home to a 2,700-acre ranch owned by former late-night TV host David Letterman. The ranch is actually in Saypo, 35 miles west of Choteau. You deserve more details, but I’m out of words.

Randy shows Walter some love in Norris.
The temps broke the 109-degree barrier today. It was scorching hot. At a break in Townsend, even Walter needed an ice cream sandwich.
