2021 Ride: A Photo Postscript

Hey everyone!

I’ve been home for almost 24 hours. Am missing the daily ride routine: fuel up, hit the road, make some turns, enjoy the scenery, take hydration break, check into motel, eat dinner, crash, and get ready to it all over again the next day.

Oh, and snap some pics along the way.

Which made me think, why not a final “Photo Postscript” blog post, sharing my favorite pics from this year’s ride.

So, here you go. Enjoy the highlight reel. Vroom!

p.s. It was a great ride, but I’m super glad to be home 🙂

I love Colorado! Photo shot at Mount Rushmore’s parade of state flags.
Hey guys, look who I found in Ketchum, Idaho — Randy Suhr.
Look who else I found in Ketchum — our Carbondale neighbors, Bruce and Jane Warren.
Nice place for a beer, Dave. At Jackson Lake, Wyoming.
Turn around, Scott. The show is behind you. What happens in Sturgis, stays in Sturgis.
Dave is the photobombing master.
OMG, he’s doing it again!
Happy Birthday, Randy. Enjoy the lava cake.
Dang, that’s a tall bike. Can barely get my tippy toes on the ground.
Thinking about Jo.
Wet, but having a great time.
If you’re Dave, there’s never a bad time to hydrate.
Road construction. A daily happening.
More road construction. Near Glacier National Park.
Meanwhile back at the ranch … while I’m off riding, Sarah’s hiking with Ranger Bob.
Gail’s favorite pic from the Black Hills.
Dave photobombs Gail’s chardonnay. It was a good way for both of the Bowman’s to enjoy her beverage, in slightly different ways.
Stopping for a pizza on the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway.
Sturgis. The whole point of the trip.
So, we’re in Custer State Park, South Dakota, stopping at a roadside food truck to get a buffalo brat. The nice lady behind the counter says to me, “Sir, are you riding a bicycle?” Ouch.
Speaking of bicycles, Sarah picked up a new e-bike while I was gone. Here she is, riding it to the famed Woody Creek Tavern. Vroom.
Age 71, and I finally got my first tat!
Dave takes his nap time quite seriously.
Home at last! Photo shot almost exactly 24 hours ago.

Vroom!

    • Thanks, Scott. I don’t know you, but if you’re a friend of Dave’s, you’re a friend of mine! He looks at all the blog comments (figures he might learn something, you’re welcome), so am sure he’ll see your thoughts. Vroom.

  6. Wow, Keah. Did not know you’d moved to Nevada. You’re only about 10 miles from where my riding buddy, Dave, lives in Henderson. He’s the tall guy who’s constantly photobombing me. You’d like him. I do. Vroom!

  8. Congrats on another successful ride and all the great blogs. I’m sorry I missed the ride, but like Ms. Sarah I’ve become an e-bike enthusiast. Way to go Sarah! Great to see Sarah and Gail in the photos, not that we can ever get enough of Dave’s photo bombs! Miss my time with Scott, Dave, Randy, Jim… and our fearless leader Gary. Wishing you all a great rest of the summer.
